In March we went to St. George with the Messerly family. We attended our first gymnastics meet to see Jarron at the state finals. He did great! Then we had a tour of most of the church history sites in the city, including the Jacob Hamblin home, Brigham Young's winter home (where we enjoyed a picnic lunch in his back yard), the Tabernacle, and a walk by the old jail. We played in the park next to the Tabernacle until the kids got too wet and messy--they had fun. The next day we hiked and hiked in Zion National Park. The kids did great, and we only lost Noah for a little bit. . .. The weather the whole trip was a bit cooler than we wanted, but still warm enough to enjoy ourselves. On the way home we stopped in Cove Fort and had a tour in a windy, cold snow storm. I'd like to visit again when it's good weather, because it was very neat. Overall it was a fun trip to break up the end of winter. We're glad the Messerlys let us tag along!
